Alyson began singing at an early age, touring France and soloing in Vivaldi's Gloria with her primary school choir. Having trained at the Birmingham Conservatoire and gained a degree from the University of Birmingham, Alyson has sung all over the world with a wide variety of choirs and performers. Her love of music has always been ecumenical, classical training interspersed with popular music of all kinds; roles and chorus in many musicals including Chicago, Cabaret and Jesus Christ Superstar; several years in Australia, as resident performer at Minsky's Jazz piano bar in Sydney; writing and performing her own songs in cafes around London.

Her move to London in 2004 rekindled her love of the classical repertoire, and her dedication to the musical profession, singing in many churches and professional choirs throughout the capital. More recently, as her voice has developed, she has decided to make the move into the world of opera, and her performances have been highly commended. In 2009 she was privileged to work with some of the UK's leading opera soloists, directors and conductors through Co-Opera Co. Alyson is now immersing herself in studying the Lyric repertoire, whilst continuing her busy solo schedule. She currently studies with Ian Kennedy and Maggie Marinkovic.

Having also studied with the Association of British Choral Directors, Alyson was previously Director of Music at Emmanuel Church, West Hampstead, and now conducts several children's and adult choirs in north-west London. In addition, she teaches singing, violin & piano to all ages. She also enjoys dancing and, though not professionally trained, is proficient in Ballroom and Jazz.
